2012 was a wonderful photography year. With a variety of fun photo field trips, to traveling away from Maryland, my footsteps have taken me to beautiful corners of the world. I’ve learned so much about the art of photography as well. From composition with more impact, to appropriate camera settings for good exposure and fine tuning photos in post processing.

I already see a dramatic improvement in all of these aspects, even from just a few months ago. I’m excited about 2013 being a fantastic photo year and can’t wait to share with you my adventures.

Happy New Year ! Bella

    • And I love visiting your world through your blog Bente. You always show such a unique perspective and I enjoy each and every one of your posts. This has been a wonderful year, so let’s hope for an even better one next year. HAPPY NEW YEAR !

  1. Your travels took you to beautiful places, but your photos captured the heart of humanity. Every post was a narrative that spoke to our imagination. You inspired, challenged, and pushed us to embrace a world that belongs to all of nature. I look forward to 2013, with great anticipation.

    • You are one of the kindest people I have ever met Rebecca. I was indeed truly fortunate to be able to visit these special places. And going through the past year, I really do try to find that nature/human connection don’t I? It’s just happened naturally without though. Can’t wait to see what I end up coming up with next year. This past year will be tough to beat!

  2. I really enjoy it your post, lovely pictures. Please, stop on my blog the most about sailing. Now I am missing sailing, but soon in 2013 I will be be able to start sailing.Happy New Year!

  3. Very pleased to have met you Bella and sharing with you the excitment of the past year. Your photography is ever wonderous and memorable. Looking forword to seeing more of you and your work in the new year.
    until then, Eddie

  4. Hi Emily

What a wonderful collection of photographs and you could have replicated this collection many times over. What I love about your blog is the way that you take us on a journey. Your photographs tell a story and you are right there is the nature/human juxtaposition that makes you think or raises a smile. Looking forward to sharing your travels in 2013. Make it a good one!!

    • Hi Corinne ! At first I wasn’t sure what you meant, but yes..I have so many wonderful photos from this year. Oh what to do with them? Oh..that’s right..write a post !! LOL
It’s interesting that both Rebecca – Clanmother, and you spoke of the nature/human connection. I hadn’t realized I had done that at all with my blog. Thinking back on it, you’re absolutely right ! Love how things magically happen.
I look forward to more wonderful life filling posts from you too in 2013. Happy New Year!

    • What do you think today Judy ? I think it’s almost there, although some of the font colors I can’t control. The fun part is that I can change my wall paper daily if I want to. But I won’t..somehow I think it may give you a headace. LOL!

      • I really, really like it. The entire layout is user friendly. And I wouldn’t mind the change of the wallpaper; maybe once a month. It is about your beautiful photography, show it off as a background 🙂

        Have a great day!!

  5. You have lots of great images there Emily. I want to do this tomorrow, I just need to work out what my favourite images for the year have been, could be hard. Happy new year.

    • Hi Leanne ! it was really hard for me as well. Luckily I at least had written a monthly photo field trip list that I could chose from. So many wonderful images from some great photo field trips. Can’t wait to see yours! Happy New Year!
