2012 was a wonderful photography year. With a variety of fun photo field trips, to traveling away from Maryland, my footsteps have taken me to beautiful corners of the world. I’ve learned so much about the art of photography as well. From composition with more impact, to appropriate camera settings for good exposure and fine tuning photos in post processing.
I already see a dramatic improvement in all of these aspects, even from just a few months ago. I’m excited about 2013 being a fantastic photo year and can’t wait to share with you my adventures.
Happy New Year ! Bella

Thank you so much Sheryl, and it’s great to see you. Hope you had a fabulous Christmas and have fun plans for the New Year.
Your travels took you to beautiful places, but your photos captured the heart of humanity. Every post was a narrative that spoke to our imagination. You inspired, challenged, and pushed us to embrace a world that belongs to all of nature. I look forward to 2013, with great anticipation.
You are one of the kindest people I have ever met Rebecca. I was indeed truly fortunate to be able to visit these special places. And going through the past year, I really do try to find that nature/human connection don’t I? It’s just happened naturally without though. Can’t wait to see what I end up coming up with next year. This past year will be tough to beat!
I agree – 2012 was remarkable. But adventures have a waiting of taking over – who knows where the winds will take us in 2013…I know that it will be exciting…
You do always make me smile. 🙂

You too Bella – right now we are cocooning while the snow continues to come down after 24 hours – lucky we don’t have any place to be other than here.
Oh Brr….Hope you have the snow boots ready!
It’s already over the top of my high boots … thankfully our “driveway guy” came with his super huge tractor snow blower and cleared our 300 ft drive …

Just BEAUTIFUL!!! I love the images! They brighten my morning! It’s grey and snowy and dark here so some sun shine was nice!!!
So happy to be able to bring some sunshine into your world. The world is truly a colorful place. Hope today is a prettier day for you.
Well thank you!
Hi Emily
What a wonderful collection of photographs and you could have replicated this collection many times over. What I love about your blog is the way that you take us on a journey. Your photographs tell a story and you are right there is the nature/human juxtaposition that makes you think or raises a smile. Looking forward to sharing your travels in 2013. Make it a good one!!
Hi Corinne ! At first I wasn’t sure what you meant, but yes..I have so many wonderful photos from this year. Oh what to do with them? Oh..that’s right..write a post !! LOL
It’s interesting that both Rebecca – Clanmother, and you spoke of the nature/human connection. I hadn’t realized I had done that at all with my blog. Thinking back on it, you’re absolutely right ! Love how things magically happen.
I look forward to more wonderful life filling posts from you too in 2013. Happy New Year!
Beautiful images! Thanks for sharing 🙂 Looking forward to seeing your amazing work in 2013!!
Thank you so much for taking this journey with me Christina. May 2013 be an even better for both of us! Happy New Year!
I love the way your blog is looking! Did you change something? It looks great 🙂
What do you think today Judy ? I think it’s almost there, although some of the font colors I can’t control. The fun part is that I can change my wall paper daily if I want to. But I won’t..somehow I think it may give you a headace. LOL!
I really, really like it. The entire layout is user friendly. And I wouldn’t mind the change of the wallpaper; maybe once a month. It is about your beautiful photography, show it off as a background 🙂
Have a great day!!
Just wonderful!! What amazing images, and such a lovely recap. Really fascinating!!!
Hey Sweetie ! Missing you !! How are you? Thank you so much for your generous and kind comment. 2012 did up being a wonderful photography year. It’ll be hard to beat this year as I don’t have many exciting things planned.

Beautiful images. You really got to nice places this year. That ship is a piece of nautical art.
The ship was truly amazing Donna, and I was really fortunate this past year. This year will be quieter with not quite as much travel. But I’m sure I’ll find something fun to explore. 🙂 Happy New Year!
absolutely superb images – Machu Pichu is my favourite! Have a great New Year!
Machu Picchu is a favorite as well. I miss it so much. If it wasn’t for the altitude, I’l probably figure out a way to live there when I retire. May you also have a wonderful New Year !
You have lots of great images there Emily. I want to do this tomorrow, I just need to work out what my favourite images for the year have been, could be hard. Happy new year.
Hi Leanne ! it was really hard for me as well. Luckily I at least had written a monthly photo field trip list that I could chose from. So many wonderful images from some great photo field trips. Can’t wait to see yours! Happy New Year!
Something certainly is working for you. A great set of pictures. I reckon it will be a challenge to top it this year, so good luck!
