There is something to be said about creating a peaceful and safe habitat for wildlife. Overtime, the birds at the manor are becoming more relaxed and enjoying the sanctuary.
I’ve noticed that a Great Blue Heron has now been spending time on our docks, keeping an eye on the water, he hopes to catch a fish. But today, it was hot and he flew in to land on top of the awning. Wings wide his majesty was shared.
The Great Blue Heron was not the only visitor tonight, as a surprise guest – a Little Green Heron showed up and spent some leisure time along the water.
It’s so rewarding to see how when one gives nature space, the wildlife become more abundant and varied.
The second photo, Is it a painting? really embodies the majestic wings đŸ™‚
Nope..he landed on our green awning – how cool is that?
VERY! :O
Exquisite photos. You’ve really captured the essence of both the great blue and the little green heron here!
Thank you so much!
Beautiful photos!
Thank you so much Belinda.
These are great shots especially the landing of the great heron. Thank goodness for caring people to keep habitat for nature and humanity.
I’m starting to see how important conservation and preservation is Perpetua. Thankfully there are those that thought of caring a long time ago. Hugs!
Beautiful shots – such stunning plumage and wingspan!
