An elderly Quechua woman walking through the bustling market of San Pedro in Cusco, Peru. Surrounded by many, but walking a solitary path. Her hard life written clearly on her face as she shuffles along the hard stone walkway. Where she was going, no one knows.

our faces mirror our lives so clearly – each line a road of a map of hardship or pain or joy or sorrow , engraved by tools so sharp as to clearly outline the map of our lives – our emotions and hopes and dreams and the fading of many of them as we age
an extroidinary image you present to us

Thank you so much for sharing this post with your readers.
ah – thank you – and yet i bet if she broke into a smile it could dim the sun with its brilliance
I’m sure it would show a extreme joy as well.
Great shot – yeah looking her face I think not every thing went easily her way…
Indeed, many of the women and young girls faces in Peru showed old souls that knew how to survive in a harsh world.
This picture is spectacular. I love all the colors and movement. Very unique.
You are so kind, I hadn’t thought of the movement aspect, but it is so true ! Thank you so much for commenting and have a wonderful weekend.
Impressive and thought provoking image, well done!
Thank you Phil ! Your words mean to much to me, such a kind compliment.

This old lady looks like she’s had a very hard life, bless her. 🙂
She does doesn’t she? But all of the native women in Peru suffer a hard life with men that love to over drink their Chicha (Peruvian corn beer)
Seriously amazing picture
Thank you so much ! I swear each time I look at this I get a different perspective.
