Along the creek the boulders hold strong.
Along the rushing water, melting from the snow.
The woods quiet, hushed from the winter’s blow.
As spring begins to draw near.
I think that would be fantastic. We had one such cabin twice, about 10 miles out of Fredericksburg, an old 1820s log cabin, on 40 acres, with a creek just down from the porch, when we were still visiting here.
Now, does that make your mouth water?! 😉
Hi Emily. Hope you are well. I haven’t been caving for some time as I had an operation on both knees last summer and that has stopped caving career. But I can still hike, so at least I am getting out now 🙂 Nice to hear from you 🙂
Oh my..you poor dear. Both knees at the same time. I can’t imagine the rehab you’ve been going through. But yeah on being able to hike. I’ve been so busy that I don’t have time to visit other blogs. I miss your walkabouts. Take care.
Que belleza de sitio, me encantan las fotos!! abrazos
Muchicimas gracias Manoli. Ojala todo esta bien contigo.
It’s so beautiful…the way the water freezes and that bridge, I imagine the many tales it could tell 🙂
The stone bridge is about 100 years old. Even Roosevelt spent time there. You are so wise Andy.
If only 🙂 Thank you though ❤
Fantastic pictures, Bella. I enjoy being at creeks, too, and listening to the murmur of the water.
One day I dream of having a cabin on a babbling brook in the mountains. How lovely would that be?
