Within my Garden, rides a Bird
Upon a single Wheel—
Whose spokes a dizzy Music make
As ’twere a travelling Mill—
He never stops, but slackens
Above the Ripest Rose—
Partakes without alighting
And praises as he goes,
Till every spice is tasted—
And then his Fairy Gig
Reels in remoter atmospheres—
And I rejoin my Dog,
And He and I, perplex us
If positive, ’twere we—
Or bore the Garden in the Brain
This Curiosity—
But He, the best Logician,
Refers my clumsy eye—
To just vibrating Blossoms!
An Exquisite Reply!

Truly she is. Thank you so much!
LOVE that tongue, lol! 🙂
Isn’t that wild Joanne? I had several captures like this. Guess they lick their chops after getting some sweet water.
I love this pic…. I took some great hummingbird pics the other day. I am just mesmerized by those little creatures!
Congrats on your hummingbird pics. They’re not easy to get. I always get excited when I see one.
Superb hummer capture!

A wonderful comment San Jeet. Thank you so much!
Just wow…..phenomenal
I was thrilled to get it. Would you believe 1/200 of a second?
I do enjoy the hummingbirds during the summer. I’m becoming obsessed with all birds.
Is it my fault? Once you start looking for birds, you realize that there are so many varieties that you never knew about. And never knew they were right there. Isn’t life grand?
Love it!
