Dr. Suess: Oh the Places You’ll Go!
Stunning.
Thank you so much Victor!
Fine balance. All wings, no hands.
Isn’t it amazing? I wish I had this level of balance. In so many ways.
Great shot =)
Thanks Anna Lucia!
Great shot! I’m hoping to see one of these guys in a snow scene – maybe after the bitter cold migrates back to Canada!
Now that would be awesome. Blue on white. How glorious would that be?
Emily, recent to your blog but have been impresses with your photographic magic. Composition is wonderful. Your technical skills are solid like a rock…..thank you for sharing. Just got back from my place near Chincoteague where i took abt 1,500 shots of hooded mergansers in the pond along the beach road on Assoteague. Got a few keepers…you are inspiring me! 🙂
Thank you so much Herb ! Good luck trudging through all of those captures. Hope you have Lightroom to help you go through the task easier. Pick the best, throw away the rest. 🙂
beautifully captured
Appreciate your compliment Nelson. Thank you!
Wow, good bird!
Wow back at you Bente ! Thank you so much!
That is so cool! Pretty bird too.
Something tells me this would be a tasty snack for your gators. 🙂
So cute!!! What a pretty bird.
Thank you my dear. A truly darling bird these are.
So gorgeous! 🙂
Thanks Sylvia!
This image brings out some emotion in me….this bird seems so delicate…I don’t know… that’s what comes to mind…just simple sweetness of nature. Made me smile 🙂
Indeed, as you mention it, at a more in depth look at this capture, there is so much more to it. The delicate balance on something that can be seemingly so sturdy. With the beauty and grace, that only a bluebird can share. Thank you so much for making me see this with a deeper eye.
I love this image! It says so much more than just a bird balancing on a small twig. It’s about making the best of what you’ve got in front of you. I want this. ..is it for sale? I need to hang this over my work computer to remind me that even in the toughest situations, you have a leg to stand on.
I’d be more than happy to share this with you. Can you email me your address? bellaremyphoto@aol.com
Wow! What a capture 🙂
Thank you so much Sarah! Thrilled that you liked it so much.

Thank you so much Mary ! I think this is one of my best as it says so much.
lovely!
Thanks Beth!
Oh what a gorgeous photo of this beautiful bird. I would love to see one of these again some day…
I would do anything to be able to send you a Bluebird of happiness your way. Perhaps one day you will.
Wow, great timing on your part and amazing balance on its!!! This is one cool photo. Were you waiting for Bluebirds or did this little guy put on a show for you? These were one of the first migratory birds – thus new guys in town if you will – I identified when I was younger outside of all the usuals. I was thrilled, they remain favorites of mine to this day. They’re not all that big but it’s still a feat to see it balanced there like that. And I agree with the visitor above that this is solid and certainly inspiring. 😉
It was one of those times that I was walking along the path and they flushed from one side and went to the other. Thankfully in beautiful lighting. I think he decided to give me a perfect kodak moment. And for that I will be forever grateful. This is one of those images that speaks a thousand words.
You were definitely blessed by that moment. Maybe that was a “Hey we birds do love you, just not all the time. But today, I do.” 😉
I can imagine this animated – or not – and used in a children’s story. 🙂
Such a darling way to look at it. Thank you so much! Indeed, quite blessed with the moment.
😀
