Waiting and Wishing
by Henry Kendall (1839-1882)
I loiter by this surging sea,
Here, by this surging, sooming sea,
Here, by this wailing, wild-faced sea,
Dreaming through the dreamy night;
Yearning for a strange delight!
Will it ever, ever, ever fly to me,
By this surging sea,
By this surging, sooming sea,
By this wailing, wild-faced sea?
Very nice. The quote is delightful!
Thank you so much Nick !
Perfect words to go with this awesome shot ๐
I couldn’t believe that awesome poem Andy. Couldn’t have written anything as good as this.
Great poems like these are what inspires me to make mine ๐
And yours are amazing!
You are too kind ^.^
Stunning shot, Emily. The poem fits perfectly. ๐
You are so kind. Thank you so much!!
So nice. I can just imagine sitting there watching the waves crash. Your choice of poem was perfect for this as it took me there even further. ๐
I couldn’t believe how perfectly that poem matched this scene. This is in Florida on Jupiter Island, called Blowing Rocks. A really unique place.
No doubt! Jupiter Island eh, well now those rocks look even more fitting! Interesting names, I do believe you that it’s a unique place.
