Along the road to the veterinarians are a few old barns left standing from the early years. I’ve always wanted to stop and capture them, but am usually rushing to the vet for a sick horse.
Today, this forgotten barn was standing in the rain begging to be remembered for all time. Taking this with my iPhone 4S, and editing in Lightroom adding Vignette 2, Preset B&W Look 1, medium grain, and OnOne Preset Filter 85A-Warming I achieved this effect.
Hope you are having a sunnier day than I am! Bella

Love it – it makes you wonder the memories and mysteries that it holds! Have a Great One:)
Thanks Renee ! I really do wonder about the history as well. There is a photographer in the area here that created a photo book of the barns in our county. He left a card for the owners to arrange the shoot and got history of the barns. Think I need to do that also.
Barn looks great!
Sunny and 70s here today! 😀
Pfffftt….Not fair…At least we had sun today after a week of overcast and rainy. Cold though.
Hope the horse is well enough soon so you can ride and go to the barn. It’s a mysterious looking barn.
Thank you – you are too sweet. This time all is good. The ponies are well and I was going there to drop off some old towels and pick up some medicine. This does look rather intriguing doesn’t it.
Love the look of the barn. It is too bad it is forgotten. However, it has so much virtue to it 🙂
You have captured it well!!
I love these old barns and hope to capture what I can while they are still standing. Many are not being replaced.
I love old barns. Very nice!!!!
Thank you so much ! So happy to share with you.
Of course we need such buildings to be remembered. A good one, Emily.
It is true Bente. While they aren’t all that old, in comparison to European history, they certainly are old for us.
Lovely barn, very well captured… 🙂
Gracias Drake ! Find one for me will you? I’d love to see one from your home.
