Perfectly posing within the Wings of Fancy exhibit at Brookside Gardens in Wheaton, Maryland, the stunning Emerald Swallowtail stopped me in my tracks.
Reminding me of the Emerald City in the Wizard of Oz, this brilliant butterfly almost seemed out of place from the other butterflies. A spectacular example of nature’s artistry, this Emerald beauty will be well remembered.
