Enjoying the butterflies at the Wings of Fancy exhibit at Brookside Gardens is better than an Easter egg hunt. The more you look, the more you find.
Along with the big ones and the little ones, there are also those with long wings. These long wings are mostly found in the Americas and have fun names like Postman, Zebra, and Sara.
I remember finding seeing Zebra longwings along the beach in Florida. and now when traveling through Latin America I’ll certainly be on the lookout for the others.
Is there anything better than to be longing for something,
when you know it is within reach?
Beautiful…I imagine how graceful they must move in slow motion 🙂
Indeed when they flutter by, the movement is different than the other butterflies. Thanks Andy!
What peculiar names! I get ‘Zebra’, but ‘Postman’ beats me. ???
I’m with you Fatima. No idea how Postman got into it. 🙂
