Oh, these darling creatures look so comfortable on the warm sand. One of my friends in South Africa just sent me a newspaper cutting showing a Fur Seal resting on the rocks in my home town of Umhlanga Rocks. It had somehow lost its way and travelled some 2,000 kms all the way from Marion Island.
That’s incredible that your fur seal could travel so far. I understand that there aren’t many fur seals in the world, but I may have that wrong. Indeed, these two were completely relaxed.
Looking pretty relaxed! I love seals but have never got that close to them!
The wildlife in the Galapagos are so relaxed among people. There are no predators there, so they have generations of feeling safe. It was such an incredible experience. We even swam with a few, along with sea turtles, and galapagos penguins.
What an amazing experience this must have been😊
