The quay has been frozen ! Spent about 4 hours this morning out. Came back boned chilled. Went for a nap with all my clothes on and the heater on. Finally warmed back up.
It’s always strange to see boats sitting in ice like that. I remember you photos from last year. Nice poem and how you draw the parallel between fear and being frozen. That’s accurate on so many levels from being frozen with fear to the fear of being frozen, especially now! π
So surreal to see this, with our warmer upper westcoast temperatures π
You’re really rubbing it in Andy. See, you sent your cold weather to us.
Can’t say I don’t share π
Too cold and icy for boats here. Nice scene with the house in the background.
Thank you so much Donna ! It was all quiet on the western front. π
Amazing winter images and words, Emily. π xx
Thanks Sylvia ! Guess I’m rediscovering the little poet I had in me when I was young. π
Blimey! Even the quay is frozen! Glad I live where I do! Happy thawing!!!

Heck! It makes me feel like a wimp for complaining about our 0 ΒΊC this morning!

It was so odd as I kept hearing a really strange sound and it took a while for me to figure out it was the boat moving in the ice.
Love your comparison. fear and frozen. Frozen with fear. So true on so many levels.
I can just picture you standing there – as I would have been – like What the HECK!!!
You know me too well. I had the silliest look on my face for sure.
Dance while awaiting the thaw…
I’m trying, but sure is hard with all of this winter gear on. π
