Nature Spotted at the Maryland Zoo By Emily Carter on October 25, 2014 • ( 11 Comments ) I see spots. Lots of spots. Spots here, spots there, spots everywhere. Spots low, spots high, spots where the eye lies. Every picture shows a spot with which the artist has fallen in love. Alfred Sisley Share this:TweetEmailLike this:Like Loading... Even I would appreciate laying in the sun like that 🙂
She was trying to sleep by kept being on alert due to my big lens. It was rather cute.
lol guess she wasn’t expecting such a fan 😉
Or someone so rude as to stare is more like it.
How gorgeous – I just love that angle on the giraffe – magnificent! 😉
Thank you so much Joanne! Try and hope as I wanted, that darned giraffe just wouldn’t look my way. And with that beautiful autumn tree behind too. 🙂
Two great shots Em…..really like the Giraffe because of the unusual nature of the portrait and that gorgeous background.
Thank you so much Mark ! I do agree with you, I love that beautiful yellow tree in the background and the pose worked out beautifully, even if unplanned.
Cheetahs are beautiful, elegant, predators, among the most graceful with their skill and slender bodies. And yet they are so fragile compared to the other big cats. Further still they remind me of Great Danes in their tall wonder (I grew up with Danes so I’m impartial to them).
I have to say the Giraffe model is really quite sexy. Models need to study this photo, and hopefully you’re proud. What an excellent capture and treatment of it, another one that you will need to showcase me thinks. 😉
I see Cheetah’s delicate nature as well, slim and nimble but easily breakable.
LOL ! I’ll tell the bull Giraffe that you think he’s sexy next time I see him. It was tough getting that shot, but thrilled how it turned out. Thank you!
It’s ironic how they’re bullied by so many other predators in the wild and yet they’re still a threat to us!!
Oh dear, now I don’t want him to get the wrong idea. 😉 Surely don’t tell him I was thinking that he displayed more of a female model-esque to him. Great shot for sure.
