Flowers

From Feathers to Blossoms

Headed out today to discover some birds. Came back with flowers instead.

When you take a flower in your hand and really look at it, it’s your world for the moment. I want to give that world to someone else. Most people in the city rush around so, they have no time to look at a flower. I want them to see it whether they want to or not.

  1. That’s so my thoughts too, as I walk around the city with a camera in hand wherever I go, people think I’m busy texting most of the time when I’m actually picking out which photos to keep and retake 🙂

    Beautiful captures! 🙂

    • So cool for you! I love how we get instant feedback with digital. You’re too young to know the film days. But 36 shots is all you get, and you better think it through and get it right. 🙂

      • You give me too much credit 😀 I remember the days when I would have to load up the film into the camera, only to every so often find myself not closing that flap soon enough and lose 3 to 4 frames that I could of used for that one right shot, Heck I even got the camera still in my drawer lol 😀

  2. Beautiful pictures and yet difficult to take – one breath of wind and they are out of focus. I had forgotten that I had put some iris bulbs in the garden so to my delight they are now in full flower

    • Now that is the best gift ever. Sort of like finding money in the pocket of your jeans after doing the wash. Actually, I use active mode focusing and high shutter speeds to get the flowers. Also I’m now using a zoom lens versus a macro. Learned the trick from a pro flower photographer.

  3. Finally! Flowers! I’ve felt like this winter has been 2 years long. Sigh… Thanks for the flowers! I’m starting to feel like it’s spring. My time cards show it in my 53 hour weeks. Ugh.
I do have some bird pix to post. Nothing to compare to yours, however I’m working on it!
