I love how my birding outings bring me to places that I never expect. The Three Grain Silos in a Row were found at Kinderfarm Park which has a working farm for visitors. Lightroom adjustments include B&W Preset Look 5, with clarity, black, medium contrast and exposure.
On this little field trip, I was in search of a little bird known as the Common Redpoll. Rather rare in these parts, sightings of these birds are a big deal. After my arrival, I saw 10 other birders in search for the same little rascals. Some from Delaware, some from DC, they were all in the search.
I saw this bunker hiding in the fog. A mysterious structure it was with barred in windows and doors. It looked a bit like a jail as Fort Howard was an active military base in the early 1900’s.
Brought into lightroom, with some exposure and lighting adjustments, the OnOne Preset: Movie Looks – Blue Dawn, and subtle Vignette were added to create this effect.

Beautiful Captures:)
Thank you so much Renee ! How are you doing?
Both are great shots, the one of Fort Howard has an ghostly quality that I just love!
How could I not take that shot right? You got the feel I felt when I was there. It was as if ghosts were walking there.
Two impressive shots! Love both π
Thank you so much Judy ! Today’s shot was…well, crappy. π
Both are beautiful, but I just LOVE that second shot.
Thank you so much, you are a fantastic photographer.
fantastic shots π
So happy you enjoyed these Evelyn. I appreciate you stopping by and commenting.
Super fog shot!
Thank you Phil ! It was a great subject to play with in the fog. I did find the Common Redpoll, but lousy shots.
That second image is brilliant Emily, love the fogginess, really gives a great atmosphere.
I was really lucky to have stumbled across this fort. Sometimes the best things are the unplanned things.
