Oh Champs-Élysées ~ Ten Dollar Cafe

Strolling down the Champs D’Elysee, along with tourists and elegant Parisians enjoying a warm spring day. Passing by the Perfumeries and designer stores we go.

Stopping at a street side cafe for a lovely little cafe au lait and croissant.

Only to be handed a check for ten Euros for the privilege of sitting in the patio and enjoying their cafe. Ooh La La, that is one expensive coffee!

  1. I’m not sure what the exchange rate is, but ten euros isn’t much more expensive than some of the coffee shops around here are. I’ll brew my own.

  2. Gorgeous photos as ever Bella!
May I however suggest that you change “Champ d’Elysée” with “Champs-Élysées”. When Joe Dassin sings the “Champs-Élysées” song that you quote, it does sound as if there might be a “d” in there. It’s because the final “s” at Champs is pronounced, in what we call a liaison, and ends up sounding like a”z”, like in Champs-z-Élysées. His “z” sometimes sounds like a “d”!

  3. Love Paris most of all I love the Montmatre part of it, but springtime connected with Champs Élysées is great – and the coffee isn’t much more expensive than places like Copenhagen and Oslo… 🙂

    Lovely photos… 🙂

  4. Beautiful photos, as always. I love Paris and you always seem to capture the spirit of the places you visit. Thank you, my dear friend. Bountiful blessings for 2013.

  5. If I rest here at your blog much longer, I am going to go nuts … Paris is where I really want to go. And your beautiful photos just keeps that burning desire alight! Seriously, I love them! Thanks. 🙂
