As mentioned, on Saturday, October 13, 2012 I’ll be leading a group of photographers through downtown Historical Annapolis in the morning. Starting at 7:30am, we will meet at the waterfront of Annapolis at the Kunta-Kinte Alex Haley Memorial. I hadn’t realized until recently that this is where slaves were delivered when brought to America.
We will spend time time on the waterfront and enjoying the United States Annapolis Power boat show the best that we can in the early morning hours. From dock street, we will start heading away from the waterfront.
Along the narrow cobblestone streets, we will enjoy the bright doorways and shutters that Annapolis is known for.
A major stop along the walk will be to see the Maryland State House, one of the hallmark buildings of Annapolis with its bright white dome standing high above.
We will walk around the State House and then visit the Thurgood Marshall Memorial before heading over to Church Circle.
There are a number of historical buildings around Church Circle, including St. Anne’s Church that we will enjoy.
There will be plenty of time for photography the sights and sounds of Annapolis, with some street photography thrown in.
Our lunch meet and greet will be at Rams Head Tavern which opens up at 11:00 a.m.
Look forward to this walk and capturing Annapolis in the fall light.

Something tells me you would really enjoy visiting Annapolis. Perhaps one day you’ll make it here.
I got really excited for a minute thinking you were talking about Annapolis Valley in Nova Scotia before I realized the images didn’t fit. Looks like it was a beautiful tour!
Aww..I’m sorry to tease you so. Sounds like you need to have your own worldwide photo walk there. I bet it’s just beautiful there.
Thanks for the last couple posts about the Photowalk day. I signed up for one not too far from me!
That’s wonderful news Shtina, we’re going to have so much fun that day and will definitely have to share pics afterward.
Lucky you! Wish I could come! Have a great time for all of us who can’t make it 🙂
