Sometimes when out and about, opportunity for photographing a unique scene appears. But what to do if the light isn’t ideal? Harsh shadows, bright whites, hard light. Sometimes high contrast scenes lend themselves beautifully to a black and white image.
There were several occasions today where the light wasn’t right but the right image was creating silhouettes and black and whites. The less than desirable light didn’t stop me from capturing these images of the horses at the barn this afternoon. In fact, what it had me to is think back to the days of film noir.
These are edited in Lightroom with clarity increased to what worked best in each image.
