As the blood Hunter Super Moon began to rise.
Its red-orange glow reflected on the Chesapeake bay.
I was not the only one watching the moon rise.
A heron, standing proud on the sandy shore gazed on as well.
Warmed by the moon glow was he.
While I sat in the shadows,
Watching this intimate scene.
The Heron and the Moon.
Lovely photo and narrative Emily. Congrats! I’m really glad I had a chance to watch the moon last night because tonite was a washout – literally.
Oh darn..I’m so sorry you didn’t get to see it tonight. It truly was spectacular for me. 🙂
I love it.
