It was a buggy kind of day. Some of those little things that hang around in the garden but are usually ignored. It made me look at things in a different way than usual.
It was indeed the dog days of summer. When the season had grown long and things were beginning to transition into autumn. The buzz of the cicadas were loud and filled the landscape.
It is butterfly season, and they are busy in the meadow. Butterflies have an odd beginning though. Looking like creatures from a distant planet.
Even small, they can wreak havoc in quick fashion like this caterpillar did. Eating the edge of a leaf in an organized fashion.
It’s amazing what you can find when you start paying attention to the little details in front of you.

Beautiful series…
The last one is truly a stunning Macro 🙂
Thank you so much Sreejith. I’m just starting to notice bugs more. They are so interesting.
Nice series. The Spicebush Swallowtail caterpillar is one of my all-time favorites!
Thank you so much Nick. I agree with you, they are amazing to watch. They flutter their wings so fast while they nectar.
It’s. Bug’s life afterall! And they feed those beautiful birds!
LOL ! Isn’t that the truth ! I stopped using chemicals in my garden years ago and the bug population exploded and became more diverse = more birds.
Same here and I even have a spider living in my bedroom! It was crawling over Peter’s arm and face the other night: I bravely covered myself from head to toe with the duvet even though it was hot! 🐜🐜🐜
Well done bugs :-0
Thank you Sherry.
Very nice – hope you share with us lots of buggy days😊
You are too sweet. I’ll keep the mosquitoes though. Surely you won’t want those. 😉
Absolutely fantastic pictures!
Have a wonderful holiday weekend,
Pit
Thank you so much Pit. You too!
