A solitary Roseate Spoonbill sat in the tree at the rookery in the St. Augustine Alligator Farm. Taking a late afternoon nap, a leg stretch was certainly in order.
Thanks Andy ! Yes, between traveling and a bad cold I’ve been pretty much off grid. Hope all is well with you and you’re having a wonderful holiday season.

The detail is amazing, you really got some amazing photos.
You’re starting to make me blush Charlie. As you know, I’ve been working on this craft. It’s been fun, but certainly challenging.
Oh she’s gorgeous – just what I needed have a VERY average day! 😉
You’re funny Joanne. Hopefully things are more exciting for you now during the holidays. Thank you.
What a brautiful spoonbill! Never seen a roseate one.
Really? Have you seen a different type? I didn’t know that there are more than one type of spoonbills.
We have 2 types here, the yellow billed (all white with a yellow bill) and the royal (white with a black head and bill).
Wow…that is so cool! One day I’ll make it to your side of the world to bird then.
You should Emily 🐣

My dear Fatima, thank you so much. I think of you often and hope you’re enjoying this holiday season. Happy New Year!
