It is with great pleasure to announce that Capital Photography Center and myself have joined forces to offer a series of bird and nature photography workshops in the Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and DC areas. (DELMARVA)
Indeed, this is a true honor that Founder and owner Marie Joabar considered me worthy enough to be included in her exceptional team of instructors.
This is a journey that I was hoping for when picking up my first DSLR five years ago. This blog, with all of you wonderful readers has made me the photographer that I am today. With your comments, likes and feedback I learned what people enjoy and it encouraged me to really develop my craft of bird photography. Truly, I am grateful to each and everyone of you for your follows and friendship throughout the years.
The Feathered Friends Meetup group that I’ve had for the past two years has helped lead me to this incredible opportunity. While the meetup will continue, more hands-on coaching workshops will be offered through Capital Photography Center.
These in-field workshops will combine the search for our feathered friends, while improving photographic skills to capture them. A page will soon be added to Hoofbeats and Footprints with workshops offered.
In the meantime, I would truly appreciate it if you can take the time to come vote for my Tundra Swans “Let’s Talk About It.” It’s the first time I’ve ever entered a contest and it would mean so much to me if it was included in the Tri-State Bird Rescue 2016 calendar. (U.S. Only)
And Mr. Downy thanks you for your support and readership.

I’m not seeing this photo on that page? O. o
Ok..finally catching up. If you click on the “instructor’s page” this bio is there. She did it alphabetically, so I’m second on the list !
Congratulations!! What an exciting journey you are on.
It truly is a journey, now I’m so busy I’m wondering if it was a good idea. π
Fantastic news indeed! Congratulations on a very well deserved honour! Will get the Champagne out! π
Oh yes !! Champagne is certainly in order. Thank you so much Fatima.
OH ! BTW..Azure and Celeste rebuilt their nest and I found an egg in it last night. Another family to come. I never did see their first babies. I think the crows got them. π¦
Hurrah! π
Woo HOO!!! Congratulations, Emily, so deserving and they’re lucky to have you!! xo
I think I’m lucky to be included. Such amazing pros on her coaching team. I’m a little nobody, totally outgunned. Now to keep honing my craft to really seem like I know what I’m doing. π
How exciting – CONGRATULATIONS!
Thank you so very much Joanne.
Thoroughly deserved Em….you’re bird and nature shots are always so professional and inspirational, I’m really not surprised that they’ve snapped you up.
You are truly too kind Mark, and it means so much as you’re also a phenomenal photographer. It’s all that practice you know. π
Thanks Em π
go get ’em tiger!
I sure am trying ! Thank you so much
Congratulations, Emily. Since I live in Northern Virginia, there’s a chance that I will be able to sign up for one of your workshops. It’s hard to believe that the calendar is your first contest–your photos are awesome.
You can help me Mike !! I need to come to the VA side and begin scouting locations for workshops. I’m sure you have some great ideas as to where to go.
For the contest thing, I’m not good at promoting my work other than the blog and facebook. Figured I’d give it a try. Thannk you so much!
I’ll think this over and get back to you, though I must confess that I tend to spend most of my time at the same few locations.
Even better, that makes you an expert. Email me whenever you’d like – bellaremyphoto@aol.com
congratulations.!
Thank you!
I am so very excited for you!!! Hugs coming your way!!! Life is so good when you work with kindred spirits. I know you have an amazing time!

It’s slow starting, but that’s good. The less I do, the less I can get in trouble. π Hugs my dear and miss you!
