Into the foggy mist on a wintery afternoon. The hustle and bustle of the holidays seemingly silenced by the calm and peaceful fog.
It is in this time that clarity can be found. If one looks close enough, even the smallest drops seem to be alive.
Finding a sense of purpose and an ease of heart follows knowing that all in the world is right.
May you find within yourself clarity within the fog.

Very nice photos here. How was your camera set for the last boat photo if I my ask?
You bet, These were handheld at ISO 640, Auto white balance, Aperture Priority, f/6.3, +1/3 exposure compensation.
Hope this helps!
Thank you very much Bella!
The little drops are so beautiful with the way they shine š Beautiful shots! š
Thanks Andy ! I was having so much fun out there I didn’t want to go back into the house. Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas! ^.^
Merry Merry Christmas to a very dear friend. May it be wonderful Andy.
Cheers! ^.^/
Breathtaking! Happy holidays!
You are too kind Sheryl. Thank you so much and may you have a glorious holiday week.
Gorgeous Photos!
Thank you so much Agatha!
I love photos like this, they are gorgeous Emily. We hardly had any fog last winter, which was disappointing.
It’s been foggy all day and busy with the holidays I ran out without my camera. Been loving the day and even trail rode Remy out in the woods. Awesome day and wishing fog for you the next winter.
If I don’t speak with you, I can’t thank you enough for your friendship and wish you all the best this holiday season.
These are magical. Love the soft look the fog has given everything. Beautiful.
You love it as much as I. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas Eve.
Amazing. I always struggle to capture foggy scenes accurately with my camera, so well done
That’s surprising as I think fog is so fun to work with. There is more light than one would expect. Use positive exposure compensation to offset the 18% gray.
Merry Christmas David!
Hmmmmmmm thanks for the tip, I’ll keep it in mind! Merry Christmas to you too!
beautiful my friend. Merry Christmas.
You are so kind Laurie, and I am grateful for your friendship throughout the years. May you have a wonderful Christmas and hope you get to rest during this busy time. Emily
When I’m not driving in it (okay sometimes even then) I love fog. It really brings magic and serenity to the day.
These photos are great as is the message behind them. It’s ironic that the first picture shows us such a clear image of the shore and dock, the immediate if you will, but then there’s the fog clouding what’s beyond, like the chaos of the holidays. I appreciate this composition for that contrast, the sharp in focus images with the thick fog. So nice, as is the last.
I also appreciate the grass, I’ve taken something similar several months ago with the up close view of the dew drops. Actually now that I think about it, that was a foggy day as well. Well done all around! š
You truly are amazing. How you’re able to look at these and find a deeper meaning. Perhaps it’s what I feel, but can never truly express into words as you do.
Can you imagine the works we could create together. Surely you are a great success in your writings and is so richly deserved.
Well warm my heart then! (BLUSHING!) I love learning how to express myself, what I see and feel, better. So when I look at other people’s art I want to take it in and process what feelings might be behind it for them and/or what it invokes in me. I’m certainly a work in progress but I so appreciate the opportunity to grow witnessing the art of you and others.
Your words are encouraging, I need to put more gusto behind my own work, whatever it may be. That would be fun to collaborate!!!
STUNNING images – Happy New Year! š
Thank you so much Joanne ! May your New Year’s be wonderful!
Very atmospheric. Sums up this time of year for me.
Wishing you sunny skies then. Happy New Year!
