Sweet the memory is to me
Of a land beyond the sea,
Where the waves and mountains meet,
Where amid her balsam trees
Sits Acadia in the heat,
Bathing ever her white feet
In the tideless summer seas.
(Original poem by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow – “Amalfi” with minor word changes)
Great capture. Love all the reflections, Looks like a beautiful place
Thank you so much Lyn! Acadia is truly a beautiful place in Maine. Hope you make it there one day.
A wonderful poem by Longfellow and such gorgeous pics!! Such a beautiful place
Thank you so much ! I love this poem and took a little bit of creative theft on it. Just couldn’t help it. Hope you’re having a wonderful weekend.
The sea will always be so beautiful..! what a capture 🙂
Indeed, the sea has it’s own magic regardless of where it arrives to land. Thank you so much Andy.
True that and you are so very welcome 🙂
Wow! You’ve really outdone yourself for these two, they’re fantastic!
Now that is truly an amazing reaction Jerry. You are way too kind, and thank you thank you.
Beautiful reflection of the setting sun.
There is nothing more soothing than a sunset. I have no idea why that is. Perhaps something spiritual you can share?
I think is a question for you to discern, Emily. But that’s a thought that I keep in mind.
Stunning captures! 🙂
You are too sweet Joanne. Thank you so much!
Beautiful Emily
Oh to be able to photograph what you naturally paint. You are truly a gifted artist.
The bottom photo is fabulous! Love the sun drops!
Agreed – of the two the sunset is the better one. I loved seeing the scene on the first one, but just couldn’t duplicate it on film at all. Tried all sorts of editing ways, that was the best I could get. 🙂 Thanks Ilex!
