IN SPRING
Your grasses up north are as blue as jade,
Our mulberries here curve green-threaded branches;
And at last you think of returning home,
Now when my heart is almost broken….
O breeze of the spring, since I dare not know you,
Why part the silk curtains by my bed?Du Fu

Appreciate your visit and thank you so much for the link.
You have some real tropical beauties here, much better than the snow photos from a few days ago. 😉
You know me..always got to bring some color into our lives. Wait a minute..is that a kodak jingle?
All that glorious colour does my winter-weary heart some good! 🙂
Truly a pleasure to share these with you Melody.
Orchids make great subjects….nice captures Em 😊
I’m so lucky to have Longwood Gardens within 2 hours from home with the most amazing orchids on continual display.
This series is absolutely stunning. Just like being there!
Oh and you know the scents, and sounds one has in the hot house. The depth of the wet soil, the humid air from the plants, the light fragrances from the foliage and flowers. Time to take a deep breath.
Gorgeous. Orchids are one of my favorite flowers.
They truly are amazing. The huge variety of them are mind boggling.
Beautiful photos… love that last close up! 🙂
You are so kind. Thank you so much!
BEAUTIFUL – Great Way to Welcome SPRING:)
Thanks Renee!
Ah just lovely as always.
Thank you so very much Jo.
These colors are just gorgeous!!
Truly Mother Nature in her finest. Thank you Sarah.
Such beauties! Love seeing all this wonderful color!
We should all have more color in our lives. 🙂
I love Orchids! A bit of a newbie enthusiast myself and find them to be great subjects as well. Are these Orchids of yours or?
Thanks for sharing these beautiful flowers. There are so many different kinds and colors I don’t think you can ever get enough.
Well done!

I love the sharp contrast you captured and the droplets on the first pale yellow Phal!
Oh I suck at growing orchids. No, these were found at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA. Arboretums are the best place to discover them. I actually used the 100-400mm lens to capture them. It’s easier to get to them within the display.
Well they’re beautiful! Orchids are a bit easier to grow than most people think, at least that’s what I’m learning. My problem was always that I over-watered them. They want to be moist not wet.
That lens takes some really sharp photos. I have a 100mm right now and my next buy will be a telephoto though I haven’t decided just what yet.
About to put up some pics from the Chicago Botanic Garden Orchid Exhibit I went to over a week ago (now that my computer and I are friends again).
Oh..really? I owe you a visit to catch up. Will do tomorrow. Glad the computer likes you again.
Hey there! No worries, I’ve got a lot of catching up to do myself both on my site with posts I have drafted & visits to your site & many others!
Gorgeous!!
Thank you Judy.
Beautiful!!
Thanks Cynthia!
