Project 365/311 – The Birds at Bombay Hook

It was one of those mornings, warmed by the early sun and the waning of the autumn leaves. When flocks of thousands of geese moved throughout the sky in search of warmer climes.

    • You are so sweet Bente, and I always love it when you stop by for a visit. Got to admit, I’ve become a total bird head. I love it though. Would you believe that this wildlife refuge was having controlled hunting conducted there the day after I was there?

      Too many deer I suppose.

  1. You got your snow bunting and so many more wonderful photos! Now I know what a Marbled Godwit looks like!

But, I do believe that your “Northern Harrier” is really a female Cooper’s hawk, as the harriers have black wing-tips that contrast with mostly white underwings, but I could be wrong.

  2. As always, wonderful photos of birds I’ll never have the patience or focus to shoot 😀 Thanks for sharing!
