2013 Project 365

Project 365/265 – Lighting the Way

Wouldn’t you know that when leaning forward to capture a photo yesterday my back went out. I never knew that photography could be a dangerous sport!

So bear with me while I share a few images from previous adventures for today while I recover.

People are like stained – glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within.

  1. All of my recent injuries are related to photography. Tore my meniscus in my knee (squatting to take a picture), hurt my hip (squatting and falling over when taking a picture) and deeply bruised finger pinched in my tripod head. But it shouldn’t stop you from your passion πŸ™‚ I hope your back feels better soon

  2. I feel your pain! I have to be oh-so-careful also – take care of yourself and do all of those indulgent feel-good things to mend quickly! Love the lamp on the left – such a wonderful emotion from it!

      • I am hurting bad and trying to get all done around here before snow flies and jewelry made but may now have to have shoulder surgery 😦 I am working hard to avoid it at all cost πŸ™‚

        Thanks for asking
I really do love lights it is why I have a stained glass shop I hope to get back out to πŸ™‚

        • Oh you’re kidding? Is it your rotator cuff? That is truly painful and you never realize how important it is until it goes bad. i can’t even imagine what you’re going through.
I didn’t realize you have a stained glass shop, Do you have a website for it?

        • No website no I would have to go do a bunch of work to have one of those lol

Torn apart cuff I was working on and getting better I thought then walked JT down a wooded trail over a month ago and as I walk she stopped 😦 I felt horrible pain but continued my walk with her taking photos and went to rehab 2 days later on reg. appointment and they never thought anything of it either so night after night I got little sleep after 5 weeks in PT saw doctor then MRI with contrast then saw surgeon last night and he wanted to know which major league Baseball team I pitched for lol I asked Do I look like an Athlete? πŸ™‚ He said I had a something SLAP inside shoulder and not till weight watchers did I remember the leash event go back on Halloween to see what comes next. Thanks for asking I spend my days trying to take photos and make things for a craft fair in Nov. but I would rather curl up with an ice pack πŸ™‚

        • She is never on a leash unless we are in the woods with wild animals she is such a great dog she stopped to smell where another peed and I did not know she stopped πŸ™‚ now it is right hand only if we go walking left can’t take any more πŸ™‚ Thanks

  3. Take good care, Emily… hoping for your speedy healing. These images are wonderful. And I am looking forward already to see what you discover & share from where you are. πŸ™‚

  4. Oh so sorry to hear this Emily. It doesn’t take much, I threw mine out once just picking up the newspaper on my driveway! 😦 Hope you heal quickly!
