Wouldn’t you know that when leaning forward to capture a photo yesterday my back went out. I never knew that photography could be a dangerous sport!
So bear with me while I share a few images from previous adventures for today while I recover.

People are like stained – glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within.

[ Smiles ] Beautiful lamps!
Thank you Renard!
[ Smiles ] You are welcome!
All of my recent injuries are related to photography. Tore my meniscus in my knee (squatting to take a picture), hurt my hip (squatting and falling over when taking a picture) and deeply bruised finger pinched in my tripod head. But it shouldn’t stop you from your passion π I hope your back feels better soon
Now that is just what I don’t want to hear Ali. Can’t believe you hurt yourself so much with taking pictures. Hopefully that you’ll be safe going forward.
Yes, hoping we both stay safe!!!!
No falling on Saturday!!
That quote is very true. Beautiful lighting pics, Emily. Sorry about your back. What a nuisance. I hope it mends soon.
Thanks Sylvia ! Can’t tell you how much I hate being derailed. No photography, no birding, no horse back riding, no driving…I’m so bored!!
Get well soon Emily and be careful when lifting that 500mm lens….π
Thanks Mark ! All I’m saying is that on Sunday when my back when out a hawk was flying around in my yard. I almost cried that I couldn’t pick up my camera. He was so close!
My favorite is the center one, but they’re all good! Hope that you’re feeling better soon!
Thank you so much Jerry ! I like the center one best as well. π
Get well soon Emily…and take it easy until your back gets better
You are so sweet, and thank you so much for your well wishes. I’m doing my best to rest it, but it’s tough for me to stay still.
Great quote! Feel better soon!
Thank you so much ! I’m hoping for a speedy recovery.
I feel your pain! I have to be oh-so-careful also – take care of yourself and do all of those indulgent feel-good things to mend quickly! Love the lamp on the left – such a wonderful emotion from it!
Thank you Johnnybsgirl ! You mean like champagne and cake? How about Pepperoni Pizza? I’ve been a junk food junkie. I’m doing my best to heal quickly.
Thanks for the thumbs up on the photo.
Oooh! They sound like WONDERFUL ways to recuperate! As long as they help, right?
Oh yes! Now back to healthy eating. π¦
Reblogged this on sguz21/TΓRKΔ°YE/Δ°stanbul.
Thank you for sharing this with your readers.
Oh no! I’m sorry to hear that. Get well soon. Big hug. I love the one in the middle: the beauty of times gone-by.
You are so sweet Fatima, and thank you so very much!.
Love pretty lights!~ nice shots
Thank you so much! Great to see you and hope all is well.
I am hurting bad and trying to get all done around here before snow flies and jewelry made but may now have to have shoulder surgery π¦ I am working hard to avoid it at all cost π
Thanks for asking
I really do love lights it is why I have a stained glass shop I hope to get back out to π
Oh you’re kidding? Is it your rotator cuff? That is truly painful and you never realize how important it is until it goes bad. i can’t even imagine what you’re going through.
I didn’t realize you have a stained glass shop, Do you have a website for it?
No website no I would have to go do a bunch of work to have one of those lol
Torn apart cuff I was working on and getting better I thought then walked JT down a wooded trail over a month ago and as I walk she stopped π¦ I felt horrible pain but continued my walk with her taking photos and went to rehab 2 days later on reg. appointment and they never thought anything of it either so night after night I got little sleep after 5 weeks in PT saw doctor then MRI with contrast then saw surgeon last night and he wanted to know which major league Baseball team I pitched for lol I asked Do I look like an Athlete? π He said I had a something SLAP inside shoulder and not till weight watchers did I remember the leash event go back on Halloween to see what comes next. Thanks for asking I spend my days trying to take photos and make things for a craft fair in Nov. but I would rather curl up with an ice pack π
Oh that is terrible ! A long road to recovery. Seems it’s appropriate to have hubby walk the dog.
Good luck and stay on that ice!
She is never on a leash unless we are in the woods with wild animals she is such a great dog she stopped to smell where another peed and I did not know she stopped π now it is right hand only if we go walking left can’t take any more π Thanks
Take good care, Emily… hoping for your speedy healing. These images are wonderful. And I am looking forward already to see what you discover & share from where you are. π
Hope I’ve managed to keep you entertained this past week. Always out for an adventure. Life is too short not to enjoy.
I so agree, Emily, trying to get out for some AIR, I need it today! Hope you’re healing well? π
Oh so sorry to hear this Emily. It doesn’t take much, I threw mine out once just picking up the newspaper on my driveway! π¦ Hope you heal quickly!
Now hold on..you are too young for that. Seems neither of us should bend over too much. π
