Returning the Maryland after a long 13 hour drive through eight states the garden today was filled with flutterbys.
It was wonderful to see such beautiful visitors flitting over the Joe Pye weed, Phlox and Butterfly bush.

Making something and sending it out into the world and then people not only responding to it but adopting it for their own and making a separate thing for it, that’s beautiful. It just shows you how much you can affect other people… the butterfly effect of everything you put out into the world.

Just beautiful, travel safe, Emily…
You are so kind. The trip went quite well and it is good to be home. But boy do I miss Maine!
For two years I have been trying for a butterfly shot like the one of yours on the purple cone flower. Needless to say, I adore that one!
Come on…you can do this. I will admit that I was using my 100mm macro for these and had plenty of subjects to work with. Even If they were a bit shy.
I can never get them to hold their wings just right when the light is perfect. I came close with a monarch, once.
Patience my love..I know you can do this. Just think bird photography. š
Love your “bugs!”
“If all mankind were to disappear, the world would regenerate back to the rich state of equilibrium that existed ten thousand years ago. If insects were to vanish, the environment would collapse into chaos.”

š Thank you so much ! I like bugs..so long as they don’t sting. Wonderful quote, and so very true.
They are always great visitors!!!!
Thanks Rexlin ! I was so surprised to find the preying mantis.

Just beautiful
Thank you so much for your kind comment.
Beautiful
Thank you so much Mary. You wouldn’t believe how many butterflies are around right now here. It’s wonderful.
Can not wait till the droves of them arrive here batteries charged and I sit at the ready with dog, cat, Wild Turkey and BEAR!
Now that is a sight I want to see. Now all you need to do is for them to stand on each other’s back – bear, dog, cat, wild turkey. Hey, wasn’t that a childhood fable?
š Life is good isn’t it
Thanks for stopping by
Wonderful group of beauties!
Thank you so much Phil. You are so kind to take the time to visit and comment. I always love to see your smile.
