It’s been raining so much in Maryland, that I’ve started to build an ark in my backyard. Although I’m not complaining too much as the flowers have been bursting at the seams with all the water. Even in the heat of July, the garden at the Manor continues to bring some natural beauty to the world.

The three great elemental sounds in nature are the sound of rain, the sound of wind in a primeval wood, and the sound of outer ocean on a beach.

I see you have been out playing with your “flower friends.” What wonderful companions – thank you for sharing.
Yes, and also feeding the mosquitoes while at it. 🙂
Those mosquitoes like to make us dance about….AGHHH 🙂
BEAUTIFUL
Thank you so much ! Love my garden this year with all the rain.
I have blooms that get destroyed by all this rain but hey I have water in my well 🙂
Beautiful and vibrant colors; lovely photos.
You are truly too kind Dan. Appreciate you taking the time to visit and leave such a wonderful comment.
Beautiful flowers, love the raindrops on them! 🙂
Do you get the idea that all we are getting here are rain? I was dodging rain drops. Thank you so much for your kindness.
The one thing that I miss most of all about living in an apartment is no flower garden, so thank you for providing a glimpse of yours!
But you have the lovely parks and nature all around you for flowers. And the best part ? You don’t have to take care of them. 🙂
But I like growing things, or building things, or creating things
It looks pretty good and the dew on it.
Thank you so very much. Appreciate your kind comment. Thanks for your visit and hope to see you back soon. Bella
Beautiful!
Thank you so much Cynthia. 🙂
Ohh those rain or dewdrops, make me thirsty. So pretty. 😀 And purple is my favorite shade, yay! Nice!
You are so sweet ! I am so happy to bring a smile to your face with this beauty. Thank you.
The heavens opened its doors letting lovely rains pour out – it’s fruitful juice kissed the earth and showered her with an abundance of brilliantly colored flowers. Beautiful photography.
You are amazing Mary ! A true poet with your words. Painting live with letters along with your artwork. I’m ready for a book!
Love, Love, Love Your Captures – the colors are AMAZING:) Happy Hump Day!

Good luck with the ark…;-) no seriously, lovely images and the droplets on the petals just add to the charm, lovely!!
Getting a little closer with finishing the ark. The rain just keeps on coming. I wear mud boots all the time now. 🙂 Thank you for your wonderful comment.
Lovely colorful – enjoy the “4th” – here in Europe it’s already the 4th now…. “big hugs” 😉
Thank you so much Drake ! I hope you shot some fireworks for us!
Beautiful photos . . . and my favorite color, too.
Isn’t nature just amazing? It’s hard to believe the colors that are from the natural world. Thank you so much for your compliment.
Fantastic Emily! I’m a major sucker for purple!
Wonderful ! So purple Iris with champagne right?
Oh yeah, perfect! I’m totally on board with champagne too!
wow! every single shot of this series is wonderful! great job 🙂
Thanks Evi ! Hope you’re doing well.
Your garden is full of such beautiful blooms! 🙂
You’re so right – one benefit of being rather waterlogged is the wonderful profusion of flowers! I don’t think my garden has ever looked so good in July before (usually it is utterly parched). That might just make the extra weeding and constant battles with mosquitoes worth it!
And even better Sheryl – NO WATERING !! The three days without rain and I’m back to watering all of my potted plants daily. Sigh.
Have you tried the corn stuff that you set down for weed prevention. It’s preen commercially. Really helps. But the mosquitoes, I fight them just as much as you do. 🙂
