A short post as the day is growing long. A perfect day on the Chesapeake Bay, spent on the water with friends and riding through Annapolis and Ego Alley.
On the return, off in the distance I saw a tall ship under sail. Could it be? Yes it is ! The Pride of Baltimore II was leaving Baltimore and heading for northern waters.
It couldn’t have been timed more perfectly. Ten minutes before or after and we would have missed her in her total glory. Hope you have a wonderful weekend planned and I’ll chat more tomorrow. Bella

Magnificent, truly magnificent.
I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw it in the distance. Got to see it twice last week. Once in Annapolis Harbor, and second under sail. It was my lucky week.
Safe travels… glad you made it there on time.
Thanks Perpetua. It was sheer luck that we were there. We had no idea it would be under sail.
Love it! I can never decide if a tall ship looks better under full sail, or with most of the sails still furled so you can see more of the ship and rigging like in this one.
I think seeing it under sail is quite magnificent. We were lucky that they had nice winds to unfurl all of the sails. She was off for northern waters for the summer.
Amazing ship… 😉
Can you imagine working on it? What a wonderful job. Although after getting sea legs it would feel funny getting back on land.
Masterful!
You are too kind Fatima. A bit of a challenge as we were on a moving boat too. 🙂
Beautiful!
Thank you so much!
Wonderful ship, perfect blue sky & that water looks so inviting! 🙂
I appreciate your kind comment. I didn’t test the water, I think it’s still a bit cold.
Beautiful photo, Bella. What fun it would be to sail on a boat like that.
If I had known more, they had it open for visitors over the weekend in Annapolis. I could have gone on board. But I was so lucky to see it as it travels quite a bit.
Great pic of an impressive vessel.
Can you imagine? I can see you high on the mast.
How cool! What a gorgeous site – perfect timing!
Thanks Mary. We really were so lucky.

What a splendid sight, Emily. Great photo.
Thank you so much Sylvia. Hope all is well with you.
Sailing boats are beautiful.
