So I like climbing up so that I can look down. Whether it’s on horseback, or by footprints, or by boat. The sights seen from above are unparalleled. We should do it more often!

Above all things let us never forget that mankind constitutes one great brotherhood; all born to encounter suffering and sorrow, and therefore bound to sympathize with each other.

The view is amazing; the trek up the hill was definitely worth the effort. Thank you for sharing.
After trekking for four days in the Inca Trail, believe me, the last thing I wanted to do was climb yet another mountain. But I had to as I don’t know when I’ll be back again.
These are very nice, but I think one of the photos from your zip line experience down in FL would have fit perfectly as well. I was thinking of that post today, it would be nice if they built one in the park I was at today.
I thought of sharing one of them, but couldn’t find them on the laptop hard drive. Must be on the desk top. So if there is one of those near you, would you do it?
Probably, I was thinking that a zip line or an elevated boardwalk would have been just the ticket to photograph the masses of trillium for my last post, but I did OK from the ground
What a view from machu pichu! 🙂
It truly and literally is breathtaking Andy.
Imagine what people in those times must of thought about what the world would be like, so many thousand years later 🙂
You are so brave!!! Wonderful shots!
If you only saw the trail/stairs up to this point, you would know how true your words are. They literally are on the mountainside.
Tah dah… you are way above ….
HAHA ! Yes indeed!
They are all wonderful pictures, but Machu Picchu wins hands down!
I think so too Fatima, just had to share.
Wonderful photos, excellent captured… 🙂
Thank you so much Drake!
A stunning set Emily! That view of Machu Picchu from the Sun gate is unforgettable isn’t it?
It really is and I’ve had the unique privilege of seeing it twice. Did you climb up Huaynu Picchu as well?
Just climbed Wayana Picchu and it truly was an unforgettable experience! Love your photo!
Oh I can’t wait to hear your Peru stories. You didn’t do the Inca Trail did you?
No- we took the train to Aguas Calientes- we saw all the hikers and I honestly don’t think I could have done it- I’m in awe of you climbing WP after all that hiking! It was an amazing place though- one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen….
I really suffered and even had a day rest in between the two. I didn’t get to the tippy top though, my friends did. Now I wish I had. All that with Asthma.
I love MP, it is in my soul. 🙂
I hate going up and the only thing that helps is that you get to go down. Haha, some great responses to the theme.
The funny thing is Leanne is that it is easier to go up than to go down. 🙂
