Project 365 / Day 69 – I’m Waiting

Red Amaryllis

Red Amaryllis

All year I tend to a tiny painted ceramic pot that holds a bulb that has been there for years.

Wait and wait I do, while watering and feeding.

Waiting for spring for the pair of red Amaryllis flowers to blossom.

The time is nearly here!

Spring is officially here as today the crocus have begun to bloom.

Before you know it bunnies will be running through the garden hiding Easter eggs.

Every great dream begins with a dreamer.

Always remember, you have within you the strength,

the patience, and the passion to

reach for the stars to change the world.

  1. This is beautiful, and I am sure it will be even more so when it blooms.
Worth all of the care you have given it.
I noticed our crocus leaves are beginning to come up, but I think the flowers will be a while yet.

  2. Those flowers are gigantic and so beautiful. Real eggs or chocolate for easter bunnies? Hiding easter eggs in your garden sounds a lot of fun.

  3. I love how you look forward to spring and the signs you look for. Do you experience spring fever there? I have only experienced that once and I was overseas.

  4. Isn’t it wonderful when the buds and flowers begin to appear this time of year? My daffodils and crocuses also opened just in time for Mother’s Day yesterday! The joy of flowers! 🙂
