Wait Zorro’s already got kids?? :O
This is another family. Way past time for Zorro and Esperanza to have a family.
A friend have this nesting spot on his dock, and this family has been returning for years to raise their young.
I did notice this morning that Zorro decided to decorate his nest. Brought a green branch in to color things up. Although he is rarely on the nest.
He’s a natural at home decor isn’t he lol 😀
You’ll appreciate this – he didn’t like it and took it down that afternoon. Go figure.

How come there are so many ospreys there? Surely Zorro & Esperanza haven’t produced a miracle already! 🙂
The osprey population has grown since the 1970’s. Specifically, on the Magothy River the fish are plentiful. Great osprey population = great fishing. Your hubby would love it!

Oh I was thinking this was the pair from earlier this spring too! Either way this is pretty fantastic shot, timing, emotion and all. Look at that wing span! Certainly looks like trouble, especially with the hunched over look of the…parent (?) in front of them. 🙂

Yes, that’s mom keeping a strict eye on the kids. Not sure if she was annoyed or not. I was thrilled to have gotten this shot.
