An early evening summer storm bathes the sky in orange light.
A storm blustering in with high winds. Trees shaking in fright, birds a flight.
Lightning strikes across the sky and cooling rain gives a fresh respite.

Gorgeous picture. Great color saturation. This looks like a great spot to spend the evening 🙂
Its an abandoned house next door. When I see fabulous light I sneak over to the dock and take a pic. The stairs are now totally overgrown though. May have to take some hedge trimmers. 🙂
So beautiful..even with the high winds 🙂
I sat outside and the winds hit about 60 mph..I sort of ran away from trees thinking a branch might fall on me. LOL!
Well, they say you do anything for the perfect photo but i’m sure that’s not what they meant lol 🙂
Fantastic coloring in this one! I never would have guessed that there was a storm brewing.
This was just after the storm and I’ve never seen an orange sky like this. Thanks Jerry!
Beautiful shot Emily
Appreciate your kindness.
Stunning image, Emily. I love that russet glow.
Russet, now that’s a color word I never knew. Thanks so much for sharing!
Glad you like it. It’s not a word one hears much these days, but it really suits your photo. 🙂
Beautiful!!!
Thank you so much ! Wish you could have been there to enjoy it with me.
I wish we had more storms here in Cali.
No…you really don’t. Although you do get earthquakes right?
Wonderful photo.
Thank you so much Sartenada
