You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, ‘I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.’

WOW!!!!!!!!! Just when I think I’m getting a few good photos you post one like that. A red-shouldered hawk?
Yep sure is. But mind you his one was in a controlled environment. 🙂
Love quote! Just what I needed this morning. Pic is awesome too 🙂
I am so happy to have been able to bring you this bit of brightness on that morning. 🙂
“The Look” could be a great name for that bird book you need to publish
I really need to pull all of those image together Ali. You’re right!
Fantastic photo.
Thank you so much!
Great shot! And the quote is what I needed for some motivation. Gotta love Eleanor, she had it goin’ on.
Doesn’t she though? I’m always amazed by these women that truly stand out in the world. Such inspiration.
I know I haven’t been around much lately but thanks for your really kind comments and visits to my blog. 😀 I really appreciate them all.
And thank you for this photo, just perfect. I agree with Ali that you’ve got to have a book’s worth of photos on “The Look”! This is really beautiful and I like the dimension in the chest feathers you captured. Also your choice of quote is spot on. I think that Birds of Prey embody taking that plunge into the face of fear 100%, diving in after their prey and hopefully achieving the catch.
Well done, very strong post. 🙂

Can you imagine being a bird of prey? Flying full force into bushes to catch something. Nerves of steel.
I wrote a poem once as I reflected on BOP and how they have faith in the sky and what they must do, how they just do it. They see what it is they have to do, they make the call and take the dive. Nerves of steel no doubt, and faith and belief in themselves that would make the most confident among us blush!!
Thanks for that thought. 🙂
I think it’s just trying to decide if you’re small enough to carry off and eat! It is a beauty, Emily.
LOL ! You think? I don’t think he’d be too lucky with that.
Great shot Em 😊
