Earth teach me to forget myself as melted snow forgets its life. Earth teach me resignation as the leaves which die in the fall. Earth teach me courage as the tree which stands all alone. Earth teach me regeneration as the seed which rises in the spring.

red one is beauty !
Thanks Mathew ! I think that one is the hit in the bunch.
There’s something about barns that look great all year round and you captured it perfect 🙂
Thank you so much Andy. You know I’m lucky to leave in old Tobacco country with these old barns. Each of them has such character.
That they do! Love it 🙂
Ah, love your quote about Mother Earth and a red barn to boot. Beautiful shots as ever.
Thank you so much my dear Perpetua. Truly appreciate your kindness.
Strange seeing wooden barns – ours are nearly all stone. Your photos are excellent!
Thinking of the photos you’ve shown of your countryside. Not too many trees to build with. We’ve got trees, but not a ton of stones. The ones built in the 1700’s are made of stone in Pennsylvania, these 1800’s are wood.
Loved them all, but my favorite was the windmill for some reason, perhaps the color of the sky.
I love that windmill. It is super cool. Thanks Jerry!
Very pretty Emily. I love barns in the snow.
You are so sweet, thank you so much for your kind comment.
These are awesome. .. Very deep.
What a great comment – if these barns could tell stories.
Reblogged this on My Blog snuppy.
Thanks Paul for sharing this with your readers.
These feel like a time warp. I have to add my vote to the red barn photo, I like how it stands out with the green trees. But I also like the little tiny red shed at the base of the silos. The silos are so massive they look like some strange rocket and then you look a bit closer and wha-la there’s a happy little shed. Nice.
🙂

You’re right – the red barn is indeed the hit. I drive by it each time I go to the barn. I’ve captured it in every season now. I love it.
And the silos are super cool. Love them and could capture them every day. The little red shed is for sheep. 😉
Oh that’s great that you have shots of it in every season, I bet that makes for a great line up.
Aw, a little sheep barn!
Very nice set. Why are barns so photographic, I wonder?
I wonder as well. They stand so stoically in the landscape. Promising shelter, comfort, and strength. They stand throughout the seasons and share the bounty that is set inside.
Well, you answered my question then. 😉
Great pictures really give the ‘feel’ of the places
Thank you so very much Diane. Appreciate your kind comment.
