A soft end to a wonderful summer day. The Cicadas loudly buzzing throughout the day, drowning out even the best singing bird. The exoskeletons left throughout the garden, after the Cicada hatches.
If you look closely at a tree you’ll notice it’s knots and dead branches, just like our bodies. What we learn is that beauty and imperfection go together wonderfully.

That is so cool!!
Thank you so much. A little strange, but worth sharing. I remember seeing them plenty in Florida when I was a child.
Wow I love these macro shots! The cicada exoskeleton is amazing!!
Blessings,
Judy
Thank you so very much Judy. Glad you appreciated the cicada like I did. 🙂
Wow!
LOL ! You are so wonderful Jerry. Thought you were out for the weekend.
I got driven off by the crowds, but I managed a few so-so shots despite them.
Oh darn..I know you and wanting to be in the back country alone.
Amazing and cool captured… 🙂 😉
Do you have cicadas where you are Drake? they are really noisy bugs
Equally great captures, but for numerous reasons I prefer the first one!
Must admit I agree with you totally Mike. The cicada was really just for show and tell. 🙂
It does it very well. But isn’t so pretty!
Oh Jeez! That is creepy! And Scary! Give me a nice friendly alligator but bugs and bug shells send me running. 🙂
Oh…I found your weakness. Watch out Phil!
Wow and they say we may see them at some point here not sure I want them to drown out my pretty little backyard birds 🙂 What swoops in to eat them or do I want to know?
Funny..I haven’t seen anything eat the Cicadas. You just see their carcasses laying around. Crunch!
lol oh joy maybe they will not come any closer that CT 🙂
