Following the evening’s rain the morning entered in softly with fog. Enveloping the landscape with its warm embrace, the fog gently misted the day.
Flowing elegantly over Northeast harbor, the boats laid in wait for a fairer day. Although the fog didn’t keep the lobstermen from heading out in the early morn for a hard day’s work.
The gardens were dressed with dew drops.
And the white tailed deer doe stepped lightly in the meadow.
The day remained enveloped in fog until midday when the sun broke through over the marsh.
Little things seem nothing, but they give peace, like those meadow flowers which individually seem odorless but all together perfume the air.

Perhaps..it is truly a magical time of day. Although I did sleep in this morning to catch up with the past week’s 4-5am wakeup calls. Of course, no thanks to that yellow throat that keeps singing outside of my window. Surprised he hasn’t showed up in the window to scream GET UP !!
