Rushes raising elegantly from the cool waters covered by water lilies.
Reaching towards the sky in search of light.
Water lilies wait for middle summer to show their hidden treasures below.
With tiny tadpoles that grow into a brilliantly green Southern Leopard Frogs.
Sitting on the muddy banks of the lake, hoping for a bug to fly closely by.
The Orchard Oriole sings boldly with his jumbled song.
Enjoying the sweet nectar of a Trumpet Vine.
And hidden in the woods is the brilliantly colored Summer Tanager.
With a lilting tune that creates a forest symphony.
Oh the glorious sights and sounds of nature.

What a wonderful series this is.
Thank you so much Lisa. Means so much that you liked these.
You’ve captured such beautiful sights here! Fantastic all!
Appreciate your kind comments. It’s amazing, this postaday really makes me look for unique perspectives. Something extraordinary out of the ordinary. Thank you so much.
Every single image is lovely! Thanks for the great detour from my boring work tonight! z
it is my pleasure to have you escape from reality. I try to do it every day. π
I just LOVE your blog…it’s magical
You are truly too sweet Liana. Thank you so very much!
I really like your red and green studies. The photos are beautiful.
Thank you so much for your generous compliment. I am fond of the first one for some reason. Have a great day.
Beautiful colour transitions. I love that your perspective is 180 degrees vertical and not only 0 degrees horizontal!!
LOL ! You are funny. I do tend to be creative with my framing and find I love the vertical perspective. Happy Tuesday.
An adult orchard oriole and a summer tanager in the same post, now I’m jealous!
Orchards are actually pretty easy to find around here. Summer Tanager..hard to find.
Summer Tanager, what a beautiful bird… π
Isn’t he awesome? Thanks Drake.
Gorgeous!
Thanks sweetie!
Those look super Emily and you gotta love Froggy!
I do love froggy ! He was so brilliantly green ! Tried to capture my bullfrog in my teeny pond, but he jumped into the water. I’ll keep trying to sneak up on him though. π
That dear little frog is my favourite. He has such a hopeful look on his face. π
π He’s probably thinking..come on bug…come on bug…any time now…
Emily, Emily, you keep outdoing yourself, these are AMAZING! Love the tanager, the oriole, the froggie who practically blends into his landscape, the water lilies. But I have to say I LOVE the texture and almost monochromatics of the first image – the purple pickerel rush. Tell me, is the very tip of the leaves – the PURPLE?? π
Ok..I’m back..actually that plant has purple flowers. It just happened that that selection didn’t have any. I didn’t like my pics of those that did. The tanager was awesome, the frog with his bright green too cool ! Thank you so much for enjoying this post as much as I enjoyed exploring.
Spectacular shots! That summer tanager is beautiful, I’ve never seen one before.
Thank you so much Sheryl – Isn’t that Tanager cool ? Now to find a scarlet to photograph. I’ve seen and heard one, but no photo. π¦
