I wonder if anyone else has an ear so tuned and sharpened as I have, to detect the music, not of the spheres, but of earth, subtleties of major and minor chord that the wind strikes upon the tree branches. Have you ever heard the earth breathe?

Such a great question, “Have you ever heard the earth breathe”. Love this, Emily, and thank you!
When I stumbled across this today, I knew I had to share. So happy you enjoyed it.
I did, I did! 🙂
Great photos and a great quote… 🙂
Thank you so much Drake. We all could benefit from taking in the world around us more. 🙂
Now I feel like singing the song of Christopher Cross “Sailing”. Your picture is so effective in bringing memories.
That is so funny, as that was exactly the song I was singing when I posted this. You are too sweet.
My dear Emily!!! Fantastic! When I was reading Bill Bryson’s “The Short History of Nearly Everything” I found out we really do hear the sounds of space and of the earth. We may not recognize it!! But I do hear the beauty of your photos. 🙂
You never cease to amaze me how you expand your world through the written world. Indeed the wisdom of the ages are in all that you read. I truly do admire you.
We think we know silence, but we really don’t as the earth is always breathing. Thank you my dear.
Yes, I hear the Earth breathe everyday. The little sailing dinghies are both cute, and well photographed.
Indeed you too – you are so well connected with our earth. 🙂
What gorgeous colors! Makes me happy to view this!
Thank you so much Joylene. It is such a summer time scene on the bay, I had driven by this and literally had to turn around and go back to capture it.
Fantastic post – you bet the sounds of the Earth are melodies to sing and sway too.
And in your paintings, you show earth’s soul. 🙂
Yes I hear the earth breathe… every time I’m surrounded by nature, that’s why I love it so much! Great quote… wonderful photos 🙂
That is so beautiful that you love nature as much as I too. We would have fun exploring together.
Oh we definitely would… I love hearing about all your hikes and adventures and seeing the photographs you capture from them… kindred spirits in different countries! 🙂
Beautiful photos, Emily. There’s something so special about sail boats. Love the quote. I’ll listen more intently in future. 🙂
Somehow I think you hear the earth already. Thank you so much for your kind words.
