Reminds me of my youth! I used to drink regular Coke and never worried about sugar or calories. Burned it off riding horses, mucking stalls and chasing dreams…now, it’s a rare treat. Thanks for the memory!
I really miss drinking regular coke all the time too. Lunch used to be Coca Cola and a Hershey bar when I was young. No longer. Getting old sucks sometimes doesn’t it? Let’s throw caution to the wind and drink more coke!
Oh..remember “New Coke” in the early 1980’s that was a fiasco.
New Coke was horrid! I tried it once and that was it. I had to laugh tonight when I saw a friend’s FB update: Another Saturday night spent regretting the fries. Getting old sucks. We could just replace the Coke for fries 😉
I ate so much on this road trip, it wasn’t funny. I did take one day off from eating and power walked three miles in the heat. Sometimes I just throw caution to the wind and enjoy what I want. Life is too short not to.
Totally agree! Had a red velvet milkshake yesterday. Sometimes you just have to live!
That’s the real thing. Timeless….
Thanks Perpetua. I love the song and its message.
Great idea of yours – very well captured… 🙂
I’m not a great singer myself, but let me be behind the drums – there I am not bad… “lol”
I can just see you banging away Drake, hard rocker that you are.
‘hahaha’
One of the best jingles ever created!
Thanks Kate ! I have no idea how it popped in my head. But I guess the Coca Cola stuff in the garage jarred my memory.
Thanks for that memory! I don’t remember if the jingle came from the song, or if Coke bought the rights to the song to make the jingle.
That is an interesting questions. Either way, it is timeless.
I am singing with you…
I’m still singing..are you?
All the time…
I can hear you…
I love those old things, there is the reminder of an older time, or a time of innocence.
So true, so much hope, love, and desire for peace as well. Thanks Leanne.
