There is something to be said about living along the waters of the Chesapeake Bay. Just north of Annapolis, on the Magothy River, different sights and sounds are enjoyed by the changing weather.
In a warm summer rain, the earth is replenished with the life giving force of the fresh water. Bright blue skies and fluffy clouds shine brightly over a line of sail boats.
And fog, lovely fog when the days are warm and the nights are cool. Creating a mysterious feel to the water. The Chesapeake Bay is a beautiful place to be.

Love your captures, especially your front yard:) Happy Friday!
Thank you so much Renee ! I love looking out my kitchen window at this scene. Have a great weekend.
Your front yard is heavenly!
Thank you so much Maya. Took a lot of work to create it, but now I get to enjoy it. π
Your front yard is gorgeous π
Love the photos!!
I once had tea with some lady friends in the gazebo. I felt like I was a proper British lady.
I’m with every one else, your front yard is to die for!
Thanks Jerry ! Took a lot of sweat and dirt and creativity to make. Now to keep the plants happy. π
That looks like a really beautiful place to live. Enjoy! π
Thank you so much Fatima. Yes, we are quite fortunate to live on the Chesapeake Bay. It is truly lovely.

Thanks Evi ! I had come home one afternoon and there was fabulous fog. Ran down with my iPhone and captured that one. Turned out pretty cool!
SO lovely…. Incredibly atmospheric and beautiful scenes.
There never is a dull day on the Chesapeake Bay. π
You have a beautiful front yard, but I really love that B&W of the docks. What an area you get to live in!
Thanks Kate ! It really is pretty special. Coming from Florida I froze in winter for the first three seasons. Now I’m well acclimated and enjoy the break from the heat and humidity.
The Gazebo suits the garden and I thought the heron was real there for awhile. Lovely place you live in.
That is cute, Nope a fake heron to help decorate the scene. I loved how this looked in the rain.
Oh, I love that last shot. I wanted to get some foggy shots last winter, but we hardly had any. YOu have inspired me to try again.
Fog is hard to get Leanne. Is it starting to cool off down there yet?
Each of these is beautiful, but “My Front Yard” is simply perfection.
So wonderful!
Thank you so much Lisa. Amazing what you can do with a little iPhone and some apps right?
Magical effect with the first one. A frond yard of my dreams. Beautiful, peaceful. Wonderful images.
You are so very kind. I love the rain while looking at this scene and hearing the frogs croak. Thank you so much for your kind comment.
Beautiful photographs Bella. I love the softness and deep range of values in the photograph of your front yard – just beautiful with lots of peace. The fog image is very, very quiet offering solitude at its best.
Your comments are also so generous and thoughtful Mary. I can’t thank you enough for taking the time and looking at my photos and letting me know what you think. Hugs, Emily (aka Bella)
