I’m Too Cute

20130109-165928.jpg

Arriving at the beach at Hobe Sound National Wildlife Refuge this Ruddy Turnstone was running in and out of the surf. A curious lad he was and came rather close to me. He then stopped and posed so that I could capture this shot.

This little one winters in Florida but spends summers high on the northern American continent.

Canon 7d, 100-400mm L. 1/640 sec, f/7.1, ISO 200, daylight white balance. Minor edit in iPad PS express.

  1. Good job getting this shot of the little cutie and getting him ID’d.
The little shore birds drive me crazy. Occassionally someone will ask me…”what are those little brown birds?”
I generally answer…”They are little brown birds.”
Or, of course the really tiny ones are just ‘peeps’. 😀

  2. I love your photograph of the croc. I would’ve been way too scared to take a picture.
Though I don’t have a photograph of a croc I do have a couple photographs of birds and I would love for you check them out! My website is santorophoto.wordpress.com
