Beautiful shot, Emily. What a pretty building. 🙂
Thank you so much Sylvia. It was a surprise on my drive to the Audubon center. No way I wasn’t going to stop and take a photo of it. It is true Americana.
Love the color contrast. Pretty structure too. Not many one-rooms left.
Thankk you ! It’s true, there were 43 one-room school houses in Talbot County. This is the last surviving one.
I am enjoying the 365 Project! Thank you so very much!!
You’re doing an amazing job Rebecca ! You should post it on your blog too !
That skoolhouse looks like its right out of “Little House on the Prairie.”
The more I think of it, the more amazing I think this schoolhouse is. Deserves a springtime photo field trip, along with the nearby Wye Mills Museum.
That is quintessential small town USA to this Brit. Gorgeous.
Makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside that I can share our American culture with you. Have a lovely day!
These old american schoolhouses are so wonderful, beautiful photo… 🙂
Would you believe that they used this until 1967? Of course it is restored now, but so beautiful. I wish I could have gone to school in such a charming building. Thanks Drake!
I don’t knew that… 🙂
Me too, I would have loved spent time in one of those school buildings… 🙂
Beautiful! 🙂 🙂
Woof Woof Maggie.
Terrific image Emily! Gotta love the iphone for times like this.
True Phil – not bad at all in a pinch.
Great shot Emily! I love buildings like this! The little town where I grew up still has a schoolhouse very similar to this!
Hi Michael ! It’s great to see you ! Hope you are well in the new year. You would have loved to visit this schoolhouse. Truly unique.
Wow!! Gorgeous photo 🙂
You truly are too kind Judy. My ego is boosting. 🙂
