The Swan Creek wetlands have become a great area of interest for local bird watchers. Birding can be done during the regular operating hours of the facility, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. In order to gain access to the wetlands during regular hours, visitors are required to complete a Release Form and sign the Registration Book. These documents can be found in the Maryland Environmental Service (MES) trailer (the trailer is located to left of the flag pole as you enter the site). MES on-site personnel will give directions for parking. The facility is patrolled by the Maryland Transportation Authority Police. Visitors caught on the property after normal business hours may be subject to arrest and/or a fine of $500.00, and charged with unauthorized trespassing on State property.
