I can’t explain it, but I have a thing for dead trees. I love to see the remaining skeleton of a bygone tree. These trees stand the test the time, even if their own time is past.
This tree is standing at Big Meadows inside Shenandoah National Park next to Skyline Drive. Standing stoically to greet the dawn’s early light.
