While vacationing on Mount Desert Island, Maine last summer, fog rolled in one afternoon. Out I went as an excited photographer ! I couldn’t wait to capture Bass Harbor and the lobster boats in their misty haze.
I had forgotten that I had set my white balance to florescent light when I was visiting the Antique Car Museum earlier in the afternoon. So this group of photos came out blue. When I saw them, I was first quite discouraged but then started to really like the mood the blue created. So not only were the photos not in focus, neither was the photographer!
This photo was taking on the trail on an inn-to-inn horseback riding trip last summer. Traveling through the Luberon Mountains in Provence, France, we went through this really dark tunnel and this was my attempt to capture it.

A photographer with great humor, thanks for sharing… 😉
My pleasure Drake! The idea is to always have fun and to laugh at yourself.
We find interesting treasures in the least expected.
So very true Alex! Btw sung your praises to Lyn yesterday. Look forward to your next post.
You are most kind! Thanks.
These are lovely, different, fun! Maybe out of focus but special anyway.
I think that’s the idea :-). Love them anyway regardless of lack of ficus. Reminds me of good times.
Oops not ficus. Thats a tree rather FOCUS
When I first got a DSLR several years ago I made this “mistake” on a regular basis – and you know what, I liked the result too! I think it looks great!
