The final in the owl series of this week. This is an Eurasian Eagle Owl that is part of the captive Birds of Prey exhibit at the Carrie Murray Nature Center.
Full of personality and spirit, this bird is held by the handler for display.
Quite unlike the Dutch owl that loves to land on people’s heads.
For those following me, for the next couple of weeks I’m going to be busy with work and a wonderful holiday in the tropics. I’ll have a few posts prepared so that you won’t miss me too much. But look forward to some exciting and exotic creatures upon my return.
Owls are my favorite bird 🙂 So happy to learn more about them through your owl series!
It’s my pleasure. Wish I had more energy to put more information on these posts. Going with 1,000 words speaks volumes. Thank you!
Not too sure i want him on my head but what a majestic bird indeed 🙂
He looks quite heavy too. And those talons? Ouch !!
Especially those :O those things hold like vices :O
Great post and video! Thanks for sharing. And have fun in the tropics!
Two more days Tiny and I’ll be there. Can’t wait as I’ve been in a convention center this past week for a show.
This has been a fascinating series, Emily. Have great trip.
Thank you so much my dear. Convention this week – vacation next week. Can’t wait!
Enjoy! 😘
