It’s been a crazy busy day today, and it looks like the temperatures will warm up in the next few days. The river is still frozen over with the freezing temperatures we’ve had this week.
There is a family of Canadian Geese that come up to the house for breakfast and dinner. They know I keep a bin of corn filled to keep their bellies full. There’s been a white goose that has raised this small flock since last summer. A flock of 14 or so Canadian Geese, they’ve been happy having a White Goose in Shining Armour to be their leader.
The Canadians were here for dinner tonight, but the white goose was strangely absent.
I’m hoping that this hallmark of standing out and being different actually gets you great things has survived these arctic temperatures.

We had a friend visit us the other day that saw our huge fat geese. Seems he’s quite the goose hunter and wanted to bring friends so they could shoot my geese and take them home for supper. I was all for it ! 🙂 Ok..I know, I’m bad. Bird lover and all, but I’m with you, one too many geese.
Eh! says the canadian geese to this grand white knight 😉 lol

Thank you so much Mark ! It was one of those times either you got the shot or you didn’t and the opportunity was literally just for seconds.
I can’t be sure, but I think that the white goose will be back when it warms up a little.
Only three days left of this challenge, I will miss it when you finish it, but I’m sure that I will love whatever you decide to do next.
I’m hoping that you are right on this one. Believe me, I won’t stop shooting, just not every day. It’ll be good not to have the pressure some days that “I have to take a picture.” I feel my creative juices have gotten diluted with this amount of effort. Bigger and better right?

It’s easy to get caught up in the stats and comments, but I have made the decision to post what I like, no matter what the reactions are.
